Perinatal Health & Mental Health Providersโฆ
What if there was a central place that offered networking, community, education, & referrals?
You are a perinatal provider who deeply cares about your patients.
You didnโt get into this field by mistake.
When you think about why you started working with expecting and new momsโฆ
Maybe you experienced your own difficulty conceiving, had a loss, traumatic birth, or PMAD
Or maybe you witnessed someone close to you struggle
Or maybe a patient experienced moved you so deeply that you started seeking out trainings on this population.
There is no question that being a maternal health or mental health provider is your calling.
Howeverโฆ
And can pull at your heartstrings.
The connections you form with your patients means that their trauma or loss is hard on you, too. Yet confidentiality limits how & where you can process your experiences.
The work is isolating.
It can feel lonely, especially if you work in private practice or are the only one representing your profession at your workplace.
You deserve a safe community of connection & collaboration.
Introducing the Trauma-Informed Maternal Health Network.
Weโre Liz & Olivia, clinical psychotherapists with a deep passion for increasing accessibility of trauma-informed care to the maternal health population.
We created a community of perinatal professionals โ like you! โ who are looking for support, guidance, community, camaraderie, networking, referrals, and a safe place to be themselves.

What our Community Is Saying:
The Trauma-Informed Maternal Health Network is for you ifโฆ
Youโre a licensed or pre-licensed mental health provider
This includes independently licensed psychotherapists (i.e. LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, PsyD), psychiatrists (MD), and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners as well as pre-licensed providers under supervision (i.e. LSW, LPC, AMFT).
Youโre a licensed or pre-licensed health provider
This includes Obstetrics & Gynecologists, Reproductive Endocrinologists, Nurse Practitioners, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Registered Nurses, Pelvic Floor Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists.
Or, you hold a certification in your profession
We understand that some professions in the maternal health world donโt need an advanced degree. If you are a Certified Doula, IBCLC, or specialize in prenatal yoga or massage, youโre welcome to join!
You live in the United States of America (USA)
At this time we can only accept providers who live in the United States of America. Please reach out if you would like to start a similar directory or network in your country!
You specialize in the perinatal population
You have a special interest in working with people who are going through infertility, family-planning, pregnant, or postpartum and have taken trainings in this area.
You provide care through a trauma-informed lens
Many providers in our community have advanced certifications in trauma (i.e. EMDR or brainspotting). If you are actively utilizing the principles of TIC in your practice, youโd be a good fit!

FAQs
-
We have a thorough screening process and have done our best to make sure that only a) licensed or provisionally licensed providers (under supervision) in the United States b) who are trauma-informed AND c) specialize in maternal health or mental health are accepted into the directory. We ask all providers to verify their license information before they are accepted into the directory and answer the question on their profile, โWhat is your approach to Trauma-Informed Patient Care?โ
-
It is $12/month or $120/year (savings of $24) to be part of the Trauma-Informed Maternal Health Network.
We donโt want any provider to feel financially burdened by being part of our community and listed on the directory. Please contact us if you need financial assistance, as we have a limited number of scholarships and reduced rates available.
-
When you create a directory listing, your profile will be publicly available to:
Users searching for trauma-informed providers and
Other providers looking to expand their referral network!
You will also receive community perks such as:
Monthly community meeting for members to connect personally and professionally
A private GroupMe channel for providers
Additional group meetups and opportunities for listed providers to volunteer and lead trainings down the line (more details to come) and
Invitation to list your podcast, book, support group, trainings, or other resources on our resource page
-
At this time, only individual providers are able to create listings since a group practiceโs providers might not all be trauma-informed. We require everyone who makes a listing to write about their approach to trauma-informed care, which would not be possible in a group profile. However, if you are a group practice owner, please email info@maternaltraumasupport.com and we can provide a discount code for your group employees.
